It’s a big old world out there and it’s all ours…
You can do anything you want, and the only thing that can stop you is you!
A LITTLE ABOUT ME…
I have an unquenchable thirst for travel…
GOAL’S IN LIFE…
Travel! travel! travel!
To renew my passport at least twice more (and fill it of course!)
To present my grand daughter with her 40th birthday cake.
To show people that no matter what age they are, they can still achieve their life long dreams and ambitions.
To make people smile.
And no matter what, never ever give up…
I try to be kind to my body, after all, It’s home for the rest of my life…
ME IN A NUTSHELL…
Above all, I love my family. They are the epicenter of my whole being and I feel privileged to have them around me.
I don’t suffer fools lightly, and therefore have many acquaintances but only a handful of friends.
I am thoughtful, kind and compassionate. Generous to a fault but not stupid, and have an unquenchable thirst for travel…
My grandfather once said to me that I should choose work that I enjoy, and that way I would never work a day in my life.
I work hard for a and living and always have, but I have rarely done things that I don’t enjoy.
I’m Sharon, someone said I’m sixty something but I don’t believe them.
I’m a little bit English, and a little bit Irish, from London (well that’s where I go to refresh my suitcase), an Entrepreneur, Mother, Nanna and lover of all things that can hold my interest for more than 5 minutes (and trust me that’s not easy :
I’ve created this site to share my adventures, dreams and aspirations to inspire and create a community of like-minded ‘Baby Boomers’.
We have one time on this earth (until proven otherwise) so lets make the most of it. I’ve always loved travel and had done so extensively when I was younger, but as time went by, and with family commitments wasn't able to do so again until later in life. Also being on my own meant traveling solo and that was something I hadn’t really done for many years.
I love wondering around local markets when i’m traveling…
I would look through travel mag's and dream of the wonderful places I’d like to see again.
I was sitting on the couch one night with a bottle of wine for company, (as had become habit for the past year or so) and decided I was going to book a trip to Burma. (wine can make you do that kind of thing ha-ha) Burma? I have no idea why.
Well, needless to say, the next morning when I woke, I couldn’t believe what I’d done and resigned myself to losing the money. But as the time got nearer I started to feel a sense of excitement. Why shouldn't I go. 40 years ago I wouldn't have thought twice. Hell! I'm still me! In fact I'm a wiser me!
So that's it, I did it, just like that, and I've never looked back!
And that was just the beginning…
See the world with your glass half full!
